Use the buttons around the game. Slide your thumb across the cross to change direction, or from B to A, without lifting it.
- Save state takes an instant snapshot of this run (one per run, the new one replaces the old).
- Speed x2 crosses the long stretches faster.
- Mute and the slider set the game sound; on a keyboard M turns it off and on.
- Saving in game (START, then SAVE) keeps one save for this run in this browser.

- One Pokémon
- A random starter under 600 base stats. After your first rival battle you can swap it once, blind, for one of three mystery Pokémon.
- One life
- If it faints, you wake up at home and the run is over: its save is deleted and a new run starts by itself.
- No healing inside
- Dungeons, gyms, the Dojo and the League ask before you enter. Inside, there is no nurse until you come out.
- Back inside
- Forest, Mt. Moon, Rocket Hideout, Tower and Mansion: after the boss you can go back for optional trainers, with no healing. At Silph Co. Giovanni closes the way back.
- Items
- Item balls hold random items, never TMs. Gym leaders still give theirs.
- Experience
- Clear everything to reach the League around level 92. Experience stops at 95.
The bridge, stage by stage
Trainers in order along the bridge. Levels and items are the same in every run; the Pokémon are different each time. Required trainers challenge you as you walk by; the others only if you talk to them.
Points
For the leaderboards, ranked seasons and tournaments. Dungeons score when you get through them; a full clear (every trainer, optional ones too) scores more.
The stages
Leaderboards are coming
Every run you play with an account is already being recorded. The leaderboards will use the points in the guide: gym leaders, rivals, dungeons cleared or fully cleared, and 20 points for each evolution.

Tournaments are coming
The same run for every player, one try each, and a deadline. Ranked seasons will follow.

Your runs are recorded from the moment you start them while signed in. Saves stay in this browser: use Export saves in Play to keep a copy.
